KGAS
Kungsholmens Astronomical Society is a student association that aims to increase knowledge in astronomy. We have lectures, stargazing nights, competitions and much more. Do you need any previous knowledge in maths and physics? No! By being a part of KGAS, you get the opportunity to learn more about nature sciences. As a part of one of Astronomisk Ungdom´s 56 associations you also get an amazing opportunity to get to know new people all over Sweden and participate in camps and competitions from Kiruna to Malmö. KG Holidays
KG Holidays is Kungsholmen´s most festive and cozy association, and focuses on celebrating holidays with something extra. We have a pumkin-carving contest before halloween, and a gingerbread-house contest to lighten up the cold months. Everyone is always welcome to take part in our events, which are amazing opportunities to meet new people! We also collaborate with other associations and collect money together for important purposes, such as supporting an indian orphanage or a Zambian school. Write us if you have a holiday you would like us to celebrate!
KZINE
Kzine is KG´s media association and very first school paper. We strive to give the students a platform for both information and creative expression. We work with everything from art and poetry to podcasts and photography- everything that might give the students a voice. Kzine is not only about information distribution, but also about creating something that really engages and feels relevant to everyone in the school!
KG Martial Arts Association
KG Martial Arts Association welcomes all kinds of martial arts, and our goal is for the members to be able to learn from, as well as inspire each other. In addition to sparring, training and technique for the experienced ones, we also want to hold technique sessions for beginners so that more people can discover martial arts.
Future plans include having self-defence courses and martial arts contests!
KGRPG
Kungsholmens Gymnasium Role-playing Games (KGRPG) is the association for all things Dungeons & Dragons (and TTRPGs)! We run campaigns, interactive adventures, where you play the game together with fellow members. Previous campaigns include everything from low or high fantasy settings to custom or canon DnD. We occasionally host other activities during breaks or weekends for all members to join. Whether you’re an experienced player or brand new to the RPG space, KGRPG is the association for you! Tifo KG
KG Tifo is actively working on improving the school spirit, by organising school events such as peprallys, and taking part in various sports events where we make sure that the school´s cheering section is top-notch! Except for these events, our activities, such as our flag-workshops, are mainly held outside of school.
KG Times
KG Times is an informative school newspaper that allows the pupils to develop their writing skills and creativity. Welcome to KG TURBO SNAILS! As Kungsholmens Gymnasium´s official running association, we combine running with community- we run to have fun. It doesn´t matter whether you are an experienced runner or if this is your first time putting on your running shoes- you are always welcome to come with us. We run on all levels and want to make running fun for all. We hope to see you on our next running session!
